We must increase public awareness of concussions and how they are treated. — Dr. Vincent Schaller, M.D. DABFM, CIC, Director of MAC Alliance

Are You Ready for the 2023 Concussion Awareness Challenge?

2023 Concussion Awareness ChallengeIt’s time for the 2023 Concussion Awareness Challenge! Complete our new 10-question brain quiz and see just how much you really know about concussions, persistent post-concussive syndrome (PPCS) and traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). Our goal is to better educate the community, provide valuable resources to those impacted by TBIs and share best safety practices to avoid head injuries while still engaging in fitness and everyday activities you love. This is important because each year an estimated 1.7 million TBIs show up in emergency department in the United States. And because so many outpatient visits also occur annually due to head injuries, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) says that the actual incidences of concussions may be as high as 3.8 million per year
