We must increase public awareness of concussions and how they are treated. — Dr. Vincent Schaller, M.D. DABFM, CIC, Director of MAC Alliance

MAC Alliance COVID-19 Plan [UPDATED: 4/7/23]

COVID-19 Plan

[Revised March 13, 2023]

Mask wearing is now optional.

Our focus at Mid-Atlantic Concussion Alliance is to ensure that your concussion recovery plan is not interrupted by public-health concerns regarding COVID-19.

Below are our new pandemic protocols, based on both the CDC guidelines and our careful monitoring of the local and regional COVID-19 situation. We will be updating our policies and procedures as necessary to safely meet the health needs of our patients and staff.

Wearing masks in our Hockessin and West Chester offices is now optional. In order to keep our patients, employees and visitors as safe as possible we continue to ask that you wear a mask if:

  • You have recently had COVID
  • You have recently been exposed to someone with COVID
  • You are or live with someone who is in a high-risk for serious complications from COVID

We also ask that you respect the mask-wearing choices of others in our office, as everyone’s situation is different. Thank you

Our entire team is in compliance in both the Hockessin and West Chester offices.

As per state guideline requirements, face masks are optional for employees and in-person patients and visitors to our offices at this time. Our staff is fully vaccinated for the coronavirus. This policy will remain in effect until new state guidelines are released instructing us to do otherwise.

We will continue to offer telemedicine visits for any patients who request it.

Telemedicine will still be offered for any of our patients who may be sick or unable to get to our offices or who prefer virtual concussion care appointments. Please let our team know your preference when you schedule your appointment.

Our priority is your health and safety.

We will still administer a forehead temperature check for you and any accompanying family/friends when you arrive at our office. Please notify the office ahead of time if you are ill and need to reschedule your appointment, either in-office or via telemedicine.
