It’s time for the 2023 Concussion Awareness Challenge! This is important because each year an estimated 1.7 million TBIs show up in emergency department in the United States. And because so many outpatient visits also occur annually due to head injuries, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) says that the actual incidences of concussions may be as high as 3.8 million per year
